Pastor Dana mailed a letter last week to our church members and friends concerning our financial need and the designation of Sunday, May 18th as "Catch Up" Sunday. That is also the Sunday for our church picnic. Deficit spending for the year is about $ 19,000.00 and below budget giving of just over $ 30,000.00. This is a serious need. Serious cuts to the budget will need to be considered if this trend does not reverse. We have an awesome God who is capable of anything and has unlimited resources. The letter calls for a season of prayer for the next two months, May-June to pray, seek the face of God, present our supplications and fast if we feel led. Prayer is the most important part as we honestly seek God's will. Then, we need to ask ourselves and God how He wants us to respond. Some people may not be able to give, but they can pray. That is most important, as God is the one who has to meet this need. We need to "Expect great things from God and attempt great things for God." Will you dedicate yourself to a time of genuine prayer for the next two months about this financial and spiritual matter? Will you pray for revival and spiritual renewal in your life and in the life of this church?
